The Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is an internationally important protected landscape containing some of the most beautiful lowland scenery in Britain.  The majestic 185 mile river meanders from its source in the Plynlimon Hills before flowing out to the Severn estuary.

It is the 5th longest river in the UK and runs along or close to the English/Welsh border.

The Wye flows through a number of towns which include Rhayader, Builth Wells, Hay on Wye, Hereford, Ross on Wye, Symonds Yat, Monmouth, Tintern and Chepstow.
